weetoo

At the very inner Western end of Inverewe Gardens in Wester Ross, weetoo, Sharon and I, wandered for most of a day from one wonder to yet another, marvelling at how the wilds of Scotland can give generous hospitality to plants from all over the World. Beyond weetoo in the photo is an arm of the Atlantic Ocean, bringing the Gulf Stream to give winter frost free warmth to the bare lands of the North Highlands. It was a beginning for us as we travelled up the West Highlands en route for Caithness, not really knowing that in measured time Sharon would take that path again on a permanent basis. This photo is one of our treasures, but there are many more.
